What is it like to be inside of Rio Tinto Stadium? Like no other. Today I will tell you every little detail there is to know about what it’s like to attend a Real Salt Lake game. Get ready to experience Real Salt Lake before you have even step foot inside Rio Tinto Stadium. Also for any locals that enjoy Oktoberfest up at Snowbird in the fall, this may be just the place to prep for it.

Real Salt Lake is a part of the MLS (major league soccer), the most premier league in the United States. The team plays in Rio Tinto stadium, which is located just south of Salt Lake City. There are many things that make up the experience at a Real Salt Lake game, but the biggest is the opportunity to watch some of the best Professional male soccer players in the U.S. While some players on the team have come and gone, while others are veterans to Real Salt Lake. This year the team begins its 15’th season and their main focus is creating the best environment for their fans.

The Views

No matter where your seats are, you will be able to see every player on the field and follow the game as much as you want. Meaning if you’re a huge soccer fan, know every detail about the players on the field and the team in general, you will be able to truly be engaged in the game from any seat you choose. The same goes for fans who are just there for an experience. Real Salt Lake makes it easy to enjoy the game with loud music to hype the fans up along with fun promotional activities during breaks.

The People

The fans. The team. The staff. All these people make up the indescribable atmosphere in Rio Tinto Stadium. The customer service is incredible as they have so many options for all age groups. There is a Plaza located just outside the stadium that you are welcome to visit before, after, and throughout game time. The Plaza helps promote local businesses by bringing in local food trucks and selling drinks from local breweries. Along with food and drinks, the Plaza also offers games for kids to enjoy. The Traditions

There are many traditions that Real Salt Lake fans have, but the most important one to know before going is the theme song. At the start of every game and after each goal scored by Real Salt Lake, the entire stadium is screaming and singing “Believe” by RSL.
