Utah isn’t ordinarily recognized for its nightlife or bar scene. It’s somewhat of a hidden gem for the locals who spend their weekends socializing at clubs and breweries around the state.
Salt Lake City has a wide variety of night-time activities. From bars and clubs to fine dining and shows, there is plenty out there for everyone. Each weekend, the streets of downtown are alive with people gathering to take part in everything we have to offer.
Main street and the blocks surrounding it are filled with bars and clubs. With such a large selection, there’s something out there for everyone to enjoy. Our clubs, like Sky SLC, Ibiza Ultra Lounge, and SOUNDWELL, are the best place to go for live DJ’s, dancing, and drinks.
If live bands are more your thing, don’t worry. Salt Lake has a multitude of concert venues ranging from small shows to stadium tours. For a more intimate experience, head to the Stateroom. It provides you with a speakeasy vibe with live bands and great cocktails. It also has one of the most extensive beer lists you’ll find in Salt Lake.
Utah’s music scene has grown over the last few years. Kilby Court is a small venue that features local bands. It’s mostly known about by locals and they offer multiple events every week. Other venues like the Depot feature a bar and host larger touring bands and artists. Vivint Smart home arena is one of Utah's largest venues for concerts and shows.
The city is filled with bars on almost every block. From karaoke and drinks, to a high-class vibe and fancy cocktails, you can find anything you’re looking for. Beer Bar and Bar X are connected, but offer guests two different vibes. Bar X is one of Salt Lake’s most popular spots due to its fun and classy environment as well as it’s skilled bar tenders.
Other bars like London Belle and White Horse provided an upscale vibe. Offering comfortable seating, an intimate environment, and good food, it’s a popular spot for people to grab a drink with their friends after work. Other spots like Oh Shucks offer $3 Schooners on Wednesdays. The Green Pig Pub is loved by residents for its great food and rooftop bar.
For those of you who are looking for a more relaxed evening, Utah has plenty of options. The Eccles theater is one of the largest attractions in downtown Salt Lake. It has hosted many Broadway shows like Hamilton, Wicked, and The Book of Mormon. People come from all over the valley to see a show at the Eccles theater.
If Broadway isn’t your thing, you can head to one of the movie theaters located around downtown. The Megaplex at the Gateway offers reclining seats and $5 tickets on Tuesdays. Or you can go to Broadway Center cinemas, located just off of main street.
