Brunch in Salt Lake City, The Avenues

Avenues Proper

If you are unfamiliar with Salt Lake City, the Avenues is a great neighborhood to explore. Start your Saturday or Sunday adventure with brunch at Avenues Proper, located on 8th Ave in-between D & E Street. Go grab a mimosa or bloody mary for just $3 before ordering one of their delicious brunch menu items. Our favorites include the Chilaquiles, made with two eggs sunnyside up, fresh salsa, guacamole, and house pickled red onion. Or, we suggest you try the Proper French Toast, made with their house challah bread, pickled pears, orange zest, and homemade thyme-infused maple syrup. This is a local hotspot, so be prepared to wait for a table. However, if you stroll in later than expected and miss brunch, don't worry. Avenues Proper also has a fantastic lunch menu and an excellent beer selection (they are a microbrewery!).

Brunch in Salt Lake City, Downtown

Market Street Grill - Downtown

Market Street Grill is a well know establishment in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. They are known for having the best seafood between Seattle and Boston! We think they are a solid brunch spot in the downtown salt lake area. They have high-quality food and service, with affordable prices. Their brunch cocktails are only $5, including the bloody mary which is garnished with a jumbo shrimp, olive, and celery. And if you aren't drinking an adult beverage, make sure you get a glass of their fresh squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. It is amazing! Their menu includes staples such as benedicts, omelets, and french toast. However, we encourage visitors to add fresh fish or go with a seafood option. After all, this is what they are known for.

Salmon Eggs Benedict

Market Stree Grill Downtown is located on 48 West Market Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Brunch is served Sunday from 9 AM - 3 PM.

RYE is a hip restaurant just east of downtown Salt Lake City. If you are a fan of the American classics but want a unique twist, this is your place. Many of their menu items are made with ingredients from local Utah farmers and bakers. Additionally, they have several options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free customers, making sure everyone is satisfied. Some of our favorite plates include the Veggie Breakfast Bowl, made with mushrooms, avocado, rice, house-made kimchi, green onion, nori, and sous vide egg. This bowl is savory and delicious! Or, if you are more of a sweet tooth type, go for the Brioche French Toast. It will not disappoint. RYE also stays open late for dinner and cocktails and is next door to one of our 13 favorite bars in Salt Lake City, Urban Lounge.
