Flaming Gorge
Flaming Gorge is basically a hidden gem in Utah. Everyone knows about the many national parks that cover the state, but this little recreation area that surrounds the Green River on the border of Utah and Wyoming is perfect for quick trips or weekends of camping fun. Tucked away on the east side of Flaming Gorge, Antelope Flat Campground has some of the best views that you can ask for. This site is great for quick access to the water. Imagine walking up on the edge of the water every morning you’re camping.
Antelope Flat Campground is only open from May to September. It costs $18/ night for a single unit and $105-$120/night for group units. There is drinking water available and flush toilets as well. Canyon Rim Campground offers more shade and fewer views of the water than Antelope Flat. It is $20/Night and only two vehicles are allowed per site. At both of these sites, you will be close to all the amenities that Flaming Gorge has to offer. You can boat, jet-ski, scuba, and fish all just feet from your campsite. This recreation area is a must when visiting Utah. Stay away from the crowded parks of Mid and Southern Utah and come check out Flaming Gorge.
