The Perfect Bites
Sushi
Takashi offers top quality ingredients in all of their dishes. From their sushi menu, Takashi offers nigiri, sashimi signature rolls, and sushi specials. Takashi offers the freshest sushi-grade fish and this is why we recommend trying their Nigiri or Sashimi. Some of our favorites are the Salmon, Tuna, and Wagyu Nigiri. Each piece melts in your mouth and we can assure that you’ll be asking for more. In terms of their rolls, they have a decent selection, offering classics as well as unique rolls like their Strawberry Fields. One of their most famous rolls is the Crunchy Ebi, filled with shrimp tempura, avocado, spicy mayo, and topped with masago, eel sauce and tempura crumbs. Their sushi rolls are beautifully wrapped in the most delicious sushi rice. They also have numerous specials, with one of the best specials they offer being their Jupiter roll.
From the Kitchen
Takashi not only offers sushi but also food from its kitchen. This includes small plates, lunch and dinner entrees. Some favorite small plates are their prawns tempura, gyoza, miso soup and crispy chicken. As for lunch entrees, their Fuyu platter offers grilled teriyaki chicken with flank steak. This comes with a mixed green salad, miso soup and rice. Their dinner entrees are equally as delicious. The Flank Steak, served with asian pesto and tempura green beans is always a show stopper. You can also always rely on their Surf & Turf plate, with braised pork ribs, miso sablefish and asian caesar salad.
Gluten-Free Options
They also offer a gluten-free menu, which outlines items on their menu that are gluten-free, to cater to all kinds of customers.
Desserts
If you didn’t get dessert did you really even have a good meal? Takashi has incredible desserts to finish your food with. The seasonal gelatos are always rich and creamy, as well as the mango mousse. If you’re a chocolate lover, the Chocolate Rum Torte will amaze you. Any dessert served at Takashi will be the perfect way to finish your meal.
No matter what you get, you won’t be disappointed at Takashi. This is why Takashi is the best SLC sushi!

Cocktails and Drinks
When it comes to a great sushi bar dining experience, the available drinks and cocktails is a key indicator on how the dining experience will be. Takashi is no stranger to a unique curated drink menu, offering local and premium options as well as vast menus of spirits, cocktails, and beers. Takashi also has an extensive Sake menu ranging from locally made Tsuki White Peach Nigori, or to their premium bottles like Amabuki Kurenai Junmai Ginjo.
Takashi has specially made house cocktails, offering drinks including flavors of elderflower, yuzu, and hints of sage. Some recommendations for cocktails include their Ume Negroni, Tamarind Sour, and Tokyo Manhattan. Takashi also has 9 different Japanese imported brews to help get a more authentic Japanese experience. You wont find a more unique selection of drinks and cocktails like these anywhere else. Their drink menu is the cherry on top of an already beautifully curated food menu. Drinkers are sure to find something they love to pair with their food.

Non-Alcoholic Drinks
Dont drink? Not a problem, Takashi also offers non-alcoholic mocktails. Just ask your server for the mocktail version, where they will use soda or sparkling water to substitute any alcohol.
Ambiance
Stepping inside of Takashi you are instantly transported to a place you already don’t want to leave before your meal has even started. After getting seated in the usually bustling restaurant, you are greeted with paper lanterns enveloping the ceiling in a warm light and tones of green and brown elements throughout the building. The moody and inviting atmosphere, as well as the natural textures within the decor like bamboo or natural finished wood, allow for the food and service to take stage as Takashi’s main act. With a combination of having sit down tables at the hands of a stellar staff, or sitting at the bar having chefs give recommendations, both offer supreme service and menu curations.
These simple touches allow for a cozy environment whether going out for a date with a partner, or having a night to yourself to enjoy premium food, where you won’t need to stress about where to sit or feeling cramped and enclosed. Along with creating a seamless indoor environment, Takashi also takes stage with having floor to ceiling windows facing out to Market Street, all of which allows guests to watch the nightlife outside and enjoy their meals in the comfort of a beautifully crafted space.
