A Local Favorite: The Dodo Restaurant
The Dodo Restaurant has been a local favorite restaurant in Salt Lake since 1981, right near Sugarhouse Park. On their outdoor dining patio, it provides a view of the Wasatch Mountain Range. The Dodo Restaurant is an upscale, and family-friendly American casual restaurant. As, it is perfect for a family or even a date night out. Menu Options
The Dodo provides many different options on the menu including sandwiches, salads, pasta, and other options for Lunch and Dinner. On Saturdays and Sundays, they even have Brunch that is available from 9 AM-3 PM which includes crepes, omelets, and other delicious dishes! For the kids, there is a special menu called the Lil’ Dodos. Without a doubt, one of their most popular and local favorite dishes is the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. As it comes with their fresh homemade BBQ sauce. There are even twelve delicious daily pies, cakes, and cheesecakes. They are rotated daily and are made by their Pastry Chef Ramon. Without a doubt, there are many delicious options on the menu, that anyone can find to please their tastebuds!
Location
The location of the Dodo is located at 1355 East 2100 South. Their hours on Monday to Friday are 11 AM – 11 PM and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM-10 PM. You can always dine in at this beloved restaurant, but warning, it is usually busy but well worth the wait! If you don’t want to dine you can always call in (801) 486-2473 or go make a take-out order. A good thing to note is that they do not take reservations. Definitely get there early if you are wanting to eat there!
Activities for After/Before Your Meal
A fun activity to do after your meal or even to have a picnic with your meal from the Dodo is to go to Sugarhouse Park! You can walk around, bike, and other different activities! If you ever want to go shopping before or after your meal. A good option is the Sugarhouse Shopping Center. It is five minutes away from the Dodo Restaurant at 2274 S 1300 E. Some stores at the shopping center include Nordstrom Rack, Target, Minky Couture, and others.
