Dog-Friendly Hiking Trails
Looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city with your furry friend? Here is a list of dog-friendly hikes that offer incredible views of the Salt Lake valley.
Neff’s Canyon
Neff’s Canyon is a 6.2 mile out-and-back trail that starts at the parking lot for White Park. You and Fido will enjoy this trail through wildflowers that climbs to a meadow about 3 miles into the hike. However, if you are just looking for a quick getaway, you can choose to hike just half a mile up to the river. Your pup will love wading in the cool mountain water on a hot summer day.
Memory Grove Trail
There is something for everyone at Memory Grove Park. Dogs are allowed on leash around the pond area of the park. There are water fountains and well-maintained restrooms as well. Once you reach the gravel trails of Memory Grove, you can unleash your pup. This 2.1 mile out and back trail has a gradual incline, shade and a fun creek to play in.
