Top 4 Burger Joints in Salt Lake City

The Cheeseburger is a staple of American culture and cuisine, and our beloved Salt Lake City is home to a great few restaurants who serve this dish at the highest quality.

In this list, we count down the Top 4 Burger Joints that aren’t just worth a visit, but are something to live by.

4. Tony Burger

Starting the list off at Number 4, we have an up and coming local chain, Tony Burger. As you walk into the door, you will find a diagram of a cow with the cuts of meat they use to meticulously formulate their burger patty. If you are lucky, you may get a free burger if you are listed on their wall next to the likes of Jimmy Fallon, Donovan Mitchell, and Harry Styles.

A major recommendation is their Tony’s Southern Burger with onion rings, jalapenos, and barbeque sauce. Otherwise, the basic burger connoisseur can down a Big T with their specialty seasoned fries. Speaking of season, Tony Burgers offers seasonally featured milkshakes on their menu with fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Location: 613 E 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84102

3. In-N-Out

At Number 3, we have the all-American classic, In-N-Out. Although we are aware that this restaurant is not unique to Salt Lake City, it appears on this list because of their consistent quality, service, and price. If you’re looking to keep things simple for a quick bite to eat, In-N-Out is the place to go, as they’ve mastered the craft of the hamburger over the 75 years they’ve been in business.

With their fresh, never-frozen beef patties, this is also by-far the cheapest option you will find in town, besides of course, McDonalds, which wouldn’t find itself on this list even if it was a countdown from 100. For just $6.70, you can get yourself a double cheeseburger, fries, and a fountain drink, which provides an insurmountable value for what you pay.

If you’re looking to upgrade your combo, In-N-Out’s milkshakes are also worth mentioning, with three classic flavors and a thick, creamy taste that never fails to amaze.

Our In-N-Out location resides just outside of Salt Lake City, but we think it’s well worth the drive.

Location: 3715 S Constitution Blvd, West Valley City, UT 84119

2. B & D Burger

Coming in at Number 2 is B & D Burger, which is an instant classic for University students, as well as any other burger lovers. With an ideal location 2 blocks from the U, B & D is the perfect quick stop for a night out with the fellas(or ladies). Their burgers have the classic all-American taste, and never fail to deliver superior consistency. The buns are soft and fluffy, yet crispy on the outside, and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful.

If you’re a fan of fry sauce, which let’s be honest, every Utahn is, then this is the place for you. Their crispy, thick-cut fries compliment it perfectly, and it’s game over if you drizzle some on your burger. Not only that, but B & D also serves their very own fresh corn dogs, which are no exception to being a perfect pair with fry sauce.

Location: 222 S 1300 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84102

1. Crown Burger

Topping off our list is Crown Burger, which is yet another classic in the SLC area. Crown burger prides themselves on their thick beef burger patties, as well as their superior toppings on said burger. In addition, they also have an extreme assortment of different burger styles you can order, besides just a classic. Some of these include the Chili Burger, the Westerner, the Garden Burger, and the star of the show, The Crown Burger. Not only that, but if you’re not in the mood for a burger, Crown Burger offers a plethora of other menu options like Fish and Chips, burritos, and even Gyro sandwiches.

Speaking of sandwiches, Seven Slopes has another article on “The Best Sandwiches in Salt Lake City”, linked below:
